Powerful Defense Against the Hazards of Explosions

Texas Glass Armor is a most proven line of defense against the risks of breaking glass from chemical explosions and bomb blasts. Texas Glass Armor applied to annealed glass with anchoring system is tested to the same break safe standards required of tempered glass, heat-strengthened, and laminated glass and has been subjected to both high explosive charges as well as shock tube blast mitigations to meet GSA and ISO blast criteria. Texas Glass Armor is available in a wide range of thicknesses to meet every unique threat level as well as solar control and decorative options to provide complete protection.

Anchoring System

In the event of glass breakage, the Anchoring System, when combined with Texas Glass Armor, is designed to absorb, and disburse the energy that the glass is subjected to and transfer the reduced load over the entire glazed opening. By absorbing and distributing the load, the system is designed to retain the glass and thus reduce the probability of glass fragments and debris from entering the structure. To achieve acceptable performance, we use Dow Corning® 995 Silicone a very high-performance structural adhesive.
Texas Glass Armor has been extensively tested by independent testing facilities in accordance with government, law enforcement and industry standards, including American National Standards Institute (ANSI), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), General Services Administration (GSA), National Institute of Justice (NIJ), Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL)
